Multiple sensors are connected to the UTM (Universal Testing Machine) to measure various paramters during the test. So, a micro-controller based Data Acquisition System is used for communication between these sensors and WinUTM software. The software captures all the data coming from this DAS panel and plots it live without lag. The captured data is shown to the user in required graphical format and in required units.

Special advanced search functionality is provided to find exact test or set of tests as there are various test parameters to search on. Test type, test date, specimen material and shape are a few to note.
The selected test can be analyzed for its results, the test graph in various formats and units.
The analyst can replay the test real time to see the pattern. It is possible to compare multiple test results and graphs in a batch or out of batch.
Statistical Reporting can also be done for selected tests. The tests may be from single batch or independent.
The report template is configurable for its headers and footers, graph selection and input / output parameters.
So, lot of configuration settings are provided to the users.

Role based accesses are provided in WinUTM. So, factory settings can be done by the system administrator within the factory. Customer administrator can create various users and assign them specific tests. Individual user can define own preferences for the test.

To ensure unbreakable communication and no loss of data, WinUTM has built up rugged communication protocol with the DAS panel. At various steps in the test workflow, the communication is ensured to avoid the last minute surprises.

Various user preferences, report configurations, test settings, device configurations are key highlights of WinUTM from Software Configuration point of view. It gives ample control over the application to the factory people and customer administrators.
