• Instrument and Instrument set Management
eCSDM maintains master data of all the instruments, instruments sets with contents, linens, ward items with coding details. Every instrument carries unique code from tracking point-of-view. Standard coding is pre-configured for easy addition of new items in the database.
• Workflow Management
Complete CSSD workflow is pre-configured via Workflow Manager with facility of re-configuration. Barcode scanners enable quick transactions during the process . Workflow is flexible enough to cover most of the transaction combinations.
• Transaction Management
This is very crucial part in eCSDM system. The number of CSSD transactions collectively for all instruments and sets is enormous due to usage and need for sterilization. Keeping track of all transactions is as important as difficult. So, barcode and scanner system helps in tracking. On every transaction, an entry is made just by a single scan. It saves lot of time and reduces the need for typing details.
• Sterilizer Data Management
Wrong instrument put in wrong sterilizer may damage that instrument totally or may not get sterilized at all carrying the infection out to OT and wards. So, it is highly important to keep track of the sterilizer parameters, cycle and phase details along with instrument sterilizer parameters. eCSDM shouts as soon as it finds any such mismatch and warns the user before proceeding. Quick color-coded representation gives clear idea in a quick view.
• Dashboard
eCSDM provides dashboard of important factors for various roles such as OT personnel, Ward Manager, CSSD personnel, etc. It helps in monitoring and forecasting . Complete analysis of sterilization process, instrument movements, CSSD throughput, etc. can be performed based on available data.
• Analysis and Reports
eCSDM supported analysis will help in reduction in instrument wastages due to non-use. It will help in forecasting by building correlation between hospital capacity and required instrument data, CSSD capacity. Instrument damages and losses count will get reduced due to direct responsibility reflected in the system.
• Application Extension
eCSDM can further be extended to link with existing HIS, Sterilizers, Patient Data Management systems and any other systems where CSSD data can help in any ways. Patient linking can help in  analysis purpose in case of severe diseases.
